Update, Update, Update

So I officially suck at writing on this thing. Oh well it is just sort of a thing I do. The past weeks have been an amazingly sucking great weeks. I believe that my last update was before my mom went in for her surgery on her broken femur. Cancer got the best of the leg. She is laid up now and going to physical therapy every other day which I am taxi driver for. Right after driver's ed ended I went to work on landscaping and completed it in a week. Looks good, lots of work though, 10 hour days. Since class finished I have been on the bike alot. I hit the trails everyday for about 2 hours if I can and don't miss many days. I have been searching for a second job now since I moved here given that subbing will not fulfill all my financial needs. I have had three offers out of the four I applied for, the latest being the one for me. Sears and Hotel Winn would have been good but I have accepted a job at Marty's as an evening supervisor. I am waiting for the details of the job but look forward to working at the alma mater and getting back with a great staff of the Luther Food Service. Can't Wait. Did a race this weekend over at Camp Ingawanis. This race was absolutely great, the folks over there put together a fun, fast flowing course that was a little flatter than I like but great racing non the less. I ended up doing the Expert/Pro race over there with somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 people in my class. Race was around 23 miles, 5 laps of 4.5 each. I was able to keep a consistent 21 minute average lap with only one lap falling below this average by a couple of minutes. I ended up 5th overall which is great given that the top 4 were some great races that have alot going for them. I lost out to 4th by about a foot after the funnest finish that I have ever done, sprinting out of the wood, rubbing and bobing for the line. It was the best part of the race by far. I felt good during the race. No major complaints. Legs started to twing with cramps at about 1 1/2 hours as usual so backed a little bit but with only about 15 minutes left didn't hold much back. Recommend everyone go check out these great trails over at the camp. Pay the trail fee as they are just trying to make better and better single track. Just got done putting up alot bike material on MTBR for sale so pass the word around if you want something let me know. Lounging today, maybe go out for a ride a little later. I need to spin out my legs. That is about all for now. OUT!
