GREAT WEEKEND!! Well there are not many weekends that compare to get together with the old college gang. 07' grads showed up with great numbers for this years weekend. I had a full house this weekend with the McNamera gang spending their time in the basement and the Snell couple hanging in the Office. I absolutely love having people staying. Sometimes house gets a little lonely with just me and Bailey hanging everyday. The meet was alot more fun than I had planned on having. I though that I would go do a couple of events and hang out with everyone. 7 events later I was beat pretty good but still having a good time. I competed in the following this weekend: Long Jump(4th Place, 5.13 Meter, 16.10 feet), High Jump (Got a mark- 1.43 meters, 4'8"), Triple Jump(5th Place, 9.54 Meters, 31.03 feet), Shot Put (2nd to Last, 7.34 Meters, 24.01 feet), 1000 Meter Run (DFL 3:07.55), 200 Meter Dash (DFL 28.04), 4x400 Relay (2nd to Last, 4:01.84). Not a bad day to say the least. I didn't win any events but I had a blast out there. Did more events in on the track yesterday than I have in 3 years. End of the meet was great jogging 4 laps to raise some money for Johanna Olson. She has had a return of brain cancer. Save Johanna's Brain to support the cause. After the meet had just as good of a time as at the meet. Rock Room Pizza, T-Bocks for the traditional gathering and refreshments and then to the new Decorah Brewery (Don't know the name yet). Finished the night with some Mario Cart racing and hit the hay. Morning of Family Table breakfast completed at great weekend with friends. House seems empty now, but look forward to the next gathering in Door County,WI for a week of Northern Shenanigans. That is about all for today! Time to start training for the season. 2010 Allumni Track Meet Weekend
