What a week!!

Well this was quite a week to say the least.  Nov. 13th marked the start of my 2012 training.  I decided that I had taken enough time off and the trails are still in prime condition so it is perfect to be out there. I have logged many miles this week on the trails with three days of 20+ miles.  I also have begun to run again starting off easy with a week of 2 1/2 milers.  Beyond the two outdoor activities, Perfect Pushup is back and in full swing.  Finally finished the first workout on Friday after pushing it off all week.  Hoping to build on the success of this year and take it to another level next year. Pretty excited about the prospects!!

Beyond the world of bikes, life has been progressing as it often does.  Teaching this week required me to really remind myself why I want to teach as the kids have progressively gotten worse and worse as the year has gone on.  If education reform needs to take place something needs to be done first at home because students today don't learn because of the manners they are learning at home.  To many parents are placing the blame on teachers when it is the parents that are failing at being parents. Kids have no respect no a days and they feel that teachers are the root of all evil even at the catholic schools.  Hopefully they figure it out here soon otherwise P.E. will consist of nothing fun because I don't have to do something run for them if they are going to be asses!! Rant #1!!

I came to a realization this week as well that I am no longer a contributor or blog on the BikeDecorah site.  Why???  Can't be that I don't bike in Decorah! It must be that I have failed to drink or smoke enough in Decorah to be a contributor and a part of this social group. DrinkDecorah is a better name!  Found that one quite funny and don't mind speaking my mind about it because, I CAN!!  It is not like I hold back on my feelings of certain people in this organization and how certain things are handled.  There are many in the group that are great and I feel they are invaluable in the happenings of trails in Decorah. Select few really feel they help when they actually hurt.  Oh well, I will continue to offer the actual Bike Decorah by biking in Decorah and providing the feedback of my adventures. RANT #2!!

Vassago Cycles!! What a crappy company.  I have been going round and round with this company here for over a month trying to get a warranty for my second Optimus Ti frame that has developed a crack in the bottom bracket weld, well inside the warranty window.  Again this is the second of these frames that has done this.  Vassago's customer service sucks the big one though.  What is a simple call to Lynskey to obtain a RA# in order to ship to them to have it repaired I have had no contact back from Vassago to get this done.  I have been able to contact Lynskey on numerous occasions to try and figure out what can be done.  They have been great and Lynskey is definately not to blame.  Lynskey even tried to contact Vassago and to no avail was unable to reach them.  Way to go above and beyond.  So it came down to me having to send it to Lynskey and pay for the repair which they cut in half for all the crappy service I am recieving from the other company.  Hopefully get it back and sell the thing to someone that wants a nice Ti bike for cheap.  I have a Salsa Selma now and am loving the heck out of it!! Rant #3!!!

Well that is all of my wonderful ranting and reviewing of the week. I am ready for another week of good riding outside after taking today off to recover.  With Turkey Day coming up this week should be a good one.  Get out and ride!!
